Cohort 2 (Jim Vicich, Scott Adamson, Ted Coe)
In preparation for the next Saturday Workshop on Nov 16th, all cohort 2 teachers should complete the following homework. Prepare to submit your homework at the registration table before the workshop begins.
1. Read the Preface, Grade 3, and Grade 4 of the following report (link below) and write a 1-page reflection of the reading. Your reflection should not just be a summary of the reading. Instead, you should incorporate your reaction to the reading by addressing the following questions: (1) Do you agree or disagree and why?, (2) How does this connect to your experiences at your school?, and (3) What did you gain or what impacted you from reading the report?
2. Write up your solution to the Benton Problem.
3. Bring completed samples of student work, such as homework, worksheets, templates, or assessments that exemplify the tenets of AMP. Each CCOL should prepare a 2-3 minute doc camera presentation to discuss how student performance is changing due to changes in your teaching practices. BRING ACTUAL SAMPLES OF STUDENT WORK TO SHOW UNDER THE DOC CAMERA. Please cover the actual students’ names.
