Cohort 1 Saturday Workshop 4 Homework

Cohort 1 (Amy Volpe, Kacie Joyner, Mona Toncheff):

In preparation for the next Saturday Workshop on April 5th, all cohort 1 teachers should complete the following homework. Submit your homework at the registration table before the workshop begins.

Grades 5 and 6 teachers:
1.  For Lesson Planning:
–       Bring math task and lesson plan to share (Bring three copies of each). You need to only submit the Lesson Plan using the CCSS Lesson planning tool (You can download an electronic copy using this link – CCSS Lesson Plan template).

  • You can reference the TTLP to assist you with what questions you should be asking yourself as you plan but you do not need to complete or submit this to me.
  • If you have questions or want specific feedback as you are writing your lesson, feel free to send me the lesson plan electronically and I can review it prior to the next Saturday meeting. My email is toncheff@phoenixunion.org.

–       Bring 1 week of lesson plans (do not have to use CCSS Lesson plan template). We will be evaluating lesson design, so bring what you use for lesson planning.

2.   For Stats:
On a piece of paper to turn in, create 3 data sets with 10 data points with the following attributes:
Data Set 1:  A mean of 9 and a range of 4
Data Set 2:  A mean of 7 and a median of 6
